Synergy's Young Professionals Council

Volunteer, mentor, fundraise. Make a difference.

At Synergy, our mission is to do what far too many have said simply couldn't be done: to close the achievement gap between inner-city and suburban schools. And to close it once and for all.

Synergy's Young Professionals Council (YPC) is a team of volunteer professionals working in a variety of industries who are all committed to Synergy's mission of eliminating the achievement gap. But, the gap is more than just numbers and test scores. We also strive to diminish gaps in life experiences, giving students opportunities to dine at sophisticated restaurants, attend performing arts events, and visit a variety of places outside of their immediate neighborhood, city, and state.

YPC will meet monthly to raise funds and organize events that aim to help Synergy students navigate the variety of college and career options available to them.

Synergy's YPC is open to post-high school professionals of all ages who are interested in educational equity and community service. YPC members will serve a minimum of 2 years and make an annual "give or get" donation of $250 to Synergy Academies. Current college students can also become YPC members with the expectation that they will "give or get" any amount they can each year.
