1. Smaller, Safer Learning
Synergy Quantum Academy is co-located on the Dr. Maya Angelou Community High School campus and serves approximately 500 students each year. Our safe and intentionally small setting fosters strong relationships, individual support and a caring community, ensuring no student slips through the cracks.
2. STEM Pathways
Our engineering and computer science pathways open doors for students in both college and career. Students are not only exposed to a wide variety of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) fields, but they also have access to resources, courses, and technology that build knowledge and foundational skills.
3. We’re Closing the Opportunity Gap
Synergy Quantum Academy is working to close the opportunity gap. Our incredible graduation and college acceptance rates are evidence of our mission in action: 90% of our high school grads go on to college. We work to prepare our students for college by providing a high quality course of study as well as support for the entire application process, from campus visitations to financial aid forms. Many of our students have received generous scholarships based on their educational record, including full-tuition scholarships from the Gates Millennium Scholarship and the Posse Foundation.

Our rigorous academic courses, which include STEM pathways, Honors, and AP classes, cultivate perseverance, critical thinking, problem solving, and effective communication. Highly qualified teachers support high school students to acquire the skills necessary to thrive not only in school, but also as life-long learners.
We take college preparation seriously. It starts with our College & Career Prep course where we guide students in their exploration of options available to them and support their application process. In addition to the support of our counseling and advising staff, we host college visitation trips and our very popular Family University Day to get everyone excited about the opportunities ahead. In 12th grade, students can take our College & Career Seminar that prepares them for life after high school whether it be in college, vocational school or career.
6. Comprehensive Counseling Program
We are proud to offer one of the largest counseling programs for high school students in the area. In addition to college and career counseling, our caring staff offers personal & social-emotional counseling, crisis intervention, parent support, academic intervention and much more. We’re here for all students and we’ve taken the stigma out of asking for help.
7. Sports & Clubs
We are proud to offer a full athletics program including football, volleyball, basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, cross country, and track and field. Students find a place to belong in one of our many clubs, such as MESA (Math Engineering Science Achievement), Peer Mentor Club, eSports, Environmental Club, Girls Build, and the National Honor Society. And our free after school program provides enrichment opportunities like art, cooking and a combination of dance and music.

Synergy Quantum Academy is able to offer a wide variety of electives so you can design your own schedule that follows your interests or helps you discover a new one. From studio art to music and civics to PE, there is something for everyone.
